These dramatic and unexpected developments are just a few of the concrete signs of the success of the Invincible America Assembly in Iowa—the largest-ever scientific demonstration project to document the effects of large group meditations on the economic and social trends of the nation, according to Dr. John Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist, executive director of the International Center for Invincible Defense, and President of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace, who is leading the Assembly. Dr. John Hagelin to present preliminary findings of the This Friday, July 27, at 11:30 a.m. in New York, Dr. Hagelin will hold a global news conference to announce the preliminary results of research conducted during the first year of the Assembly—and to lodge predictions for improvements to be seen in all areas of national life for the coming year. Positive influence of the Invincible America Assembly Maharishi Mahesh Yogi launched the Assembly on July 23, 2006, to create coherent national consciousness—the basis of a healthy, prosperous, invincible nation. Since then, approximately 1800 peace-creating experts have gathered at Maharishi University of Management and Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, to practice Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation program and Yogic Flying together in a group. According to Dr. Hagelin, research shows that the positive influence of their collective practice has been immediate and profound in every area of national life—such as the economy, which grew far faster and gained greater strength than expected:
Dr. Hagelin said that a comprehensive study is now under way—including a 26-point “Invincibility Index” to measure improvements in economic, social, health, environmental, and governmental performance generated by the Invincible America Assembly. Positive trends predicted publicly in advance According to Dr. Hagelin, rigorous statistical analysis shows that the upsurge of positive trends started on the day the Assembly began a year ago, when an initial group of 1200 coherence-creating experts first assembled in Iowa from across the U.S. and around the world to generate coherent collective consciousness. “Extensive research published in leading, peer-reviewed scientific journals has shown the reduced negative trends, including reduced crime and violence, and improved economic and social trends when as few as the square root of one percent of a population practice Yogic Flying together in a group,” Dr. Hagelin said. Scientists named this phenomenon the “Maharishi Effect” after Maharishi, the renowned Vedic scholar who 50 years ago founded the Transcendental Meditation program, and who predicted the beneficial impact of group meditation on social trends as early as 1975. A group of 2500 Yogic Flyers needed to guarantee Dr. Hagelin said that based on this earlier research, the present group of 1800 Yogic Flyers is sufficient to produce a powerful influence of coherence and invincibility in the nation. However, to ensure that remaining problems in the country are quickly resolved and to permanently establish the nation on a high level of invincibility, Dr. Hagelin said that a permanent group of 2500 experts is needed—and will soon be established in Iowa. Invincibility Assemblies being established worldwide Dr. Hagelin added that similar Invincibility Assemblies are being established in large and small nations to form a “ring of invincibility” around the world, to prevent problems, and to promote permanent peace and invincibility in every nation. “This is not wishful thinking,” said Dr. Hagelin, who serves as the Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace. “This is hard science that has been field tested for over 50 years and documented through more than 600 studies conducted at over 250 independent universities and research institutes throughout the world.” The Invincible America Assembly is being funded by an annual $12 million grant from the “Howard and Alice Settle Foundation for an Invincible America.”
